Ginspiration #005 - Rick Gin

The latest in my series of Ginspiration posts features the first gin I've come across from Austria, Rick Gin

There are 2 varities of gin available - Rich Dry Gin and Brave Dry Gin

Rick Gin is a small batch handcrafted gin, distilled and developed in Austria, and included 100% organic botanicals such as corainder, angelica, citrus peel, ginger and more.

First up is Rich Gin:

This gin is rich in flavor, with complex citrus notes on the nose as well as on the palate.

Ingredients: juniper, coriander, angelica root, lemon, orange, kaffir lime, lemongrass, cardamom, cranberries, elderberry, jasmine, licorice .

Then you have the Brave gin:

It may be lost in translation but this is described as something for brave or advanced gin drinkers.

The complex pepper aromas, the sharpness of the ginger and the fragile fruit aromas at the finish contribute to this gin.

The perfect serve is with juniper berries and dry tonic or a licorice with lemon zest.

Ingredients: juniper berries, coriander, angelica root, cube pepper, Tasmanian mountain peppers, lemon, ginger, nutmeg, cardamom, cumin, elderberry, chamomile

Both gins are available to buy online priced at €39.90 for a 70cl bottle ... unfortunately there are no UK stockists at the moment that I'm aware of, but one to look out for on your travels for sure.
